Accessibility

We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is part of what we deliver for clients, so it’s part of how this site is built — in the components, not added at the end.
What that means in practice
- Semantic HTML and a logical heading order on every page.
- Every interaction works from the keyboard, with a visible focus ring. A “skip to content” link is the first thing you’ll reach.
- Text and interface colours are checked for contrast, including on the dark and textured sections.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text rather than colour alone.
- Motion respects your system’s reduced-motion setting. Scroll effects and the ink trail switch off entirely.
- The custom pen cursor only appears with a mouse, never replaces the cursor over text, links or form fields, and can be turned off from the ink well in the bottom-left corner.
- Pages still work when you zoom to 200% or increase the text size in your browser.
No overlays
We don’t use accessibility overlay widgets. They sit on top of a site and try to patch problems automatically, but they often interfere with the screen readers and settings people already rely on. We’d rather build pages that work with your own tools.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers and voice control. It relies on HTML and CSS first; if JavaScript is off, the content and contact form still work.
Limitations
Some client work we show includes screenshots of other websites. Those images have descriptions, but the sites they show are outside our control.
